#352 / Birddogging Democracy

The Nation magazine ran an article, not too long ago, outlining how The Center for Popular Democracy has been promoting what might be thought of as a democratic strike force for a progressive politics, aimed at our elected representatives. "Birddogging" is what they call it, and "birddogging" makes the traditional "going door to door" seem pretty mild.

A few days ago, I was saying how going door to door could "save the world." Well, birddogging  has that potential, too. It certainly could help save our democratic institutions - like the Congress, for instance!

Laura O’Grady, a fifty-six year old disabled engineer, who is pictured below, is a birddog trainer, besides being a pretty effective birddogger herself. Want to know what it's all about? Just click this link!
