#295 / Parkinson's Law

The image shows the exact cover of the book my father gave me back when I was in high school. I was amazed to find, in recent discussions with colleagues at my law office, that "Parkinson's Law" is not so well known today as I think it was back then. Of course, time has gone by since I was in high school. I just went to my fiftieth high school reunion a month or so ago. Still, Parkinson's Law is timeless, and if you don't know it, here it is:
Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.
How true that is! And then there's the corollary, "if you do it at the last minute, it only takes a minute to do it!"

I am coming to believe that...
We have time
Enough
To do a lot
In our
Allotted time
