Wherever you may be today - I am speaking to anyone reading this blog posting on October 18th, the date I am posting it - I am hoping that you will join - or will have joined - one of the thousands of demonstrations being held, nationwide, proclaiming support for the kind of government established by the American Revolution.
You will remember, I am sure (and click this link for access to a copy of The Declaration of Independence if you are at all unclear on the concept), that our nation was founded on the explicit decision that our government would have "No Kings."
Let's keep it that way!
In Santa Cruz, where I live, people are gathering at 10:00 a.m. in the San Lorenzo Park, adjacent to the Santa Cruz County Governmental Center. If you are in Santa Cruz, and are reading this before about 9:30 a.m., or so, you have time to be in attendance. There will be a march, on city streets, afterwards, taking off from the park after a short program there. Don't miss it!
