I have been a member of the Fellowship of Reconciliation for many years, and this means I receive their magazine, Fellowship.
The latest edition brought me a series on "Accompaniment." This is a type of nonviolent and international intervention in which young men and women are putting their lives on the line for others.
Peace and justice in other countries are being secured - but not by sending young men and women to those countries to kill people.
Young men and women are sent. And they go. But not to kill anybody. They have a different idea.
We could have a different world.
But we would have to change what we do.
