#104 / Distraction As A Strategy

You can control medflies by getting fertile females to spend their time f*&#@ing around with sterilized males.

It's a proven technique
.

Lots of action. No results.

Techniques of distraction are highly effective in the political and governmental arena, but a tough-minded approach to politics can beat this system. For instance, do you think we should spend a lot of time talking about what Fox News said? Or, in the Santa Cruz, California context, the claims made by right-wing zealots on KSCO Radio?

Paying attention to much of what you see on television, or hear on the radio, or read in the press is to succumb to distraction as a strategy. Once you know it's all a distraction, you don't have to do it.

In politics, to avoid dying like a med-fly, you need to work backwards from the vote.
