The comment was a single word: Shiva.
Shiva is the destroyer god. His works, I conclude, are consistent with the rule I stated: Death prevails so that Life may abound.
The Bible says it, too:
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit (John, 12:24).
Still, it's not a popular thought, however true. At least not when we think about applying the rule to ourselves, and to what we do.
