337 / Life And Death

Here is that tricky little secret I mentioned about the world of Nature:
Death prevails so that Life may abound.
Individual existence is lost, so that our collective existence is not.

This is not a popular truth.

Our human world, if you really think about it, is ultimately dependent upon the world of Nature, but we fundamentally reject the basic principle that sustains the Natural world: that death must come for there to be new life.

In the world of Nature, protecting the "me," at the expense of the "we," doesn't really work.
