311 / Crackup

California Crackup is a 2010 review of just how far California's body politic has been affected by the political autoimmune disease that has made governing the Golden State almost impossible.

In terms of diagnosis, this book nails it.

Part I, "Building And Breaking California," documents in a mere 76 pages how our state government has gone from the "best in the world" to the "worst in the US."

Diagnosis, of course, can sometimes be easier than prescription.

How will we fix the problems? California Crackup has a section on that. That's the part I'm reading next.
