The image is from an article dealing with the long term health effects of childhood abuse. It's an important and worthwhile article. However, I was struck mainly by the image, not the article.
This image, I think, "speaks to our condition," as the Quakers might put it.
That picture shows just how I feel about letting the government monitor my phone calls, read all my emails, and militarize my local police force.
