#231 / Dry Water

On my trip through the Sierras, I wasn't catching any "wild fishes that float through the stream." That part of the Bob Dylan song did not come true.

This was once a flowing stream. It is a blue line on the map. It is all rocks now. Dry water. Dry water everywhere!

Maybe, as some contend, human actions are not to blame for the hottest and driest statistics that we read about, and that we experience ourselves. But in the Sierras this year, the spectre of global warming and climate change was present every step.

It's bad out there. Dry water everywhere!
