297 / Social Entrepreneurs

You don't find semi-nude women on the Ashoka website, but you do find a definition of "social entrepreneur." You can find some examples there, too, including: Susan B. Anthony, Maria Montessori, Margaret Sanger, Florence Nightingale, and (just to be sure that there is some gender diversity in the list) John Muir. Though he is not on the Ashoka list, let's not forget Gandhi!

In short, a "social entrepreneur" is a person who successfully puts into practice the insight that we live, most immediately, in a world that we create ourselves. That could be, as claimed, "hotter than SEX."
