#297 / Wild & Scenic

Tomorrow, I am going to act as a kind of "Master of Ceremonies" at a Wild & Scenic Film Festival being held in downtown Santa Cruz. The Festival is a benefit for the Ventana Wilderness Alliance. Tickets are, possibly, still available. Click the URL above, under the image of the ticket, or call the Ventana Wilderness Alliance at 831-423-3191.

I have had the privilege of watching these films in advance of the event tomorrow evening. No kidding, this really is a great opportunity to see some powerful films, and to help protect public lands in the Big Sur and Ventana region.

The Wild And Scenic Film Festival, originally conceived by the South Yuba River Citizens League, is intended as a call to action. The films illustrate the Earth’s beauty, the conservation challenges we face, and the innovative tactics that many communities are using to make a difference.

Watching these films is a perfect way to confirm the validity of the "two worlds hypothesis."
