My son who survived, barely, public education had said to me that he understood how people could feel violently towards our current educational system, by shootings, but that he himself was not a violent person. I believe that Mr. Rogers played a role in his non-violence. As a young child, he saw the program as well as Sesame Street. He has a very high IQ, but also some dyslexia which made our current system intolerable and him, the brunt of bullying. Mr. Rogers gave children esteem, value at a time when our country was in turmoil. The movie challenges what it means to be a man as well. It has many layers, but acceptance is critical to it's content. It is worth seeing. I hope you change your mind...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
