Non-attachment means that we are not our emotions, our self is not identified with our emotions. We watch our emotions arise and we let them go. Though we may care very deeply (or not) about many things, our being does not depend on the state of our emotions.<br /><br />Since everything is impermanent, attachement creates frustration, or sufferng, in Buddhist terms.
