This, of course, is impossible. It is predicated on replacing fossil fuels with so-called renewable resources to continue present levels of resource throughput. This, of course, is impossible. It is supported by the assumption that we can continue to destroy the natural world with no consequences to our own and other species. This is not only impossible, it is insane.<br /><br />Our currently dominant system of social organization will come to an end, perhaps gradually, perhaps precipitously, certainly inevitably.<br /><br />That which cannot go on forever, stops.
