Don't you just love this picture?

This photograph appears (and is intended to appear) as though it were a patchwork of four different photographs, all of which were stitched together in a photo collage. In fact, this is one photo of a single scene, albeit a scene craftily constructed to make us believe that the reality it shows is not a "real" reality.

I not only like the image; I like the reminder that we can construct whatever world we want within the World of Nature, and subject to its laws. The biological laws that direct our ability to see are here employed to teach us a lesson about the possibilities we can realize.
