The Wall Street Journal carried a story in its February 27, 2013 print edition that had the following headline: "Uncertain Election Results Rekindle Euro-Crisis Fears." 

Here is the statement that grabbed my attention: "Democracy 'is the euro zone's Achilles' heel,' said Charles Grant, director of the London-based Centre for European Reform."

So true! Democracy has a tendency to get in the way of those who focus first and foremost on money. 

Some of us think that's not a bad thing!
